This was not a screening.
It was a passage.

This Off-Brief invited guests to walk through The Underground Railroad—not through plot, but through feeling.
From ambient spaces to a ritual in the sky, each detail was designed to hold memory, tension, and reverence.

They didn’t watch the series.
They moved through it.
And when they looked up, the sky carried it home.

Underground Railroad

guest journey

ACT I: The Walkthrough

Three symbolic spaces inspired by emotional memory:
Arrival (The Platform)
Fleeing (The Cornfield)
Descent (The Tunnel)

Each one layered with ambient sound, whispered voiceover, and tactile remnants of escape—guiding guests, not through plot, but through feeling.

Act II: The Drone Show
A drone show reimagined as a celestial tribute.
The sky became memory, shifting from a lone railroad line to constellations, then into Cora’s silhouette running, transforming into birds, and ending in a golden wash of light.
Guests listened through headsets as excerpts from the novel and Black oral histories echoed overhead.

This Off-Brief explored migration as memory, space as story, and media as ritual
